Many people have the notion that a tongue piercing is a great way to enhance self-awareness and self-confidence. In my opinion, this is far from the truth. Many people find it to be both demeaning and a distraction.

As the piercing itself is part of our identity, it is no coincidence that a person who has a tongue piercing will feel bad. I would agree that looking at someone who has it would make us feel bad, but I wouldn’t say that its good for us as well. When we look at people with a tongue piercing we feel good, as if the tongue is being added to our bodies. However, we don’t feel good about it either.

To be honest, I was always against tongue piercings, but I was never really sure why. I mean, I had a tongue piercing once, but it was a horrible feeling (my tongue was so sore I felt almost like it was being pushed down there) and I dont think it made me feel better. On the other hand, I know there is one guy that likes having a tongue piercing, but I dont think its a good idea.

To be honest I just don’t like tongue piercing. It just feels so uncomfortable. It feels like the tongue is being pushed down into the meat of your throat instead of going in the right place. It feels like you’re being choked. I don’t even like tongue piercing myself, but I’m just not so into it.

I personally don’t like the idea of tongue piercing. But then Ive been pierced before and I dont feel like I got a lot of bang for my buck. If I had a choice, I wouldnt have a tongue piercing.
